The theme incorporates an image slideshow to make the front page more dynamic, and while the site is live, it is still undergoing some modifications.

Network El DoradoNetwork El Dorado is a professional leads organization comprised of business men and women dedicated to the highest standards of competence and service. Network El Dorado members give qualified business leads on a weekly basis.

I joined Network El Dorado in March of 2009, and after a while was offered the opportunity to design their website.  The site was designed in a way to promote the businesses of the members, the site is primarily designed in Perl with a MySQL backend.  Each time the page is loaded it displays two random business cards of different members.  Each week, two business speak during the meeting about their business, those businesses get a larger showcase on the front page of the site for a one week duration.

Orangoo Greybox was used again to help keep page load times down while bringing the information that visitors to the site need to see to their attention.

Roleplaying Games Network

Friday, August 7th, 2009

Roleplaying Games networkThe Roleplaying Games Network is a free message board hosting site for play by post roleplaying games.  This sites redesign was completed in 2008.  The design included over 200 custom header and banner images, it is primarily programmed to use PERL, along with the OpenThought framework for AJAX compatibility.   For this site, most of the work we did was the front end design, although we did work heavily with the site owner and primary programmer on getting the dynamic content created and working.  It is a constant work in progress although the sites members have been extremely satisfied with the results.

The information displayed on the front page is dynamically generated from the database when the page is loaded and is updated constantly.  The site features a fully functional image hosting gallery which members who donate money to help keep the site running are granted access.  The site also has an interactive control panel that allows members of the site to keep track of the games they are in and the characters they have in each of those games.
