Collectively we have about 13 years of experience in web design, of course when I say we, I mean Me, Myself and I. I have always been interested in computers and after finishing High school a year early, I went to ITT to get my Associates Degree in Electronics Engineering.  After which I held a wide variety of jobs, none of which had anything to do with my degree.  While I was working for Earthlink in their technical support department, one of the team building efforts they did was to have each team design a website to be used by the team to track useful links and other such information.

Not having any real experience with web design at the time I volunteered to put something together for the team, I bought a book Using HTML, by QUE, it was a monstrously thick book, but I read it cover to cover and built our team a webpage to use that was basically a virtual windows, with icons on the screen that could be moved around, a start bar that had a large number of menu’s and submenus.  It was really quite something, and it was that web page that got me my first official web design job, working for a company called Wavve Telecommunications.  They had me working in their R&D department designing a user interface for a web based property management software.  Unfortunately the company went bankrupt and I began doing web design freelance although Mostly as a hobby.

I worked briefly for a website called Eating Sacramento, which was a site put together to try and help promote restaurants in the Sacramento area, although it never really took off and is now no longer available.

I worked for a little over two years for Sage Software Canada Ltd, as the webmaster for the ProvideX home page, and while there redesigned their website from the ground up using their proprietary webserver built on their own programming language.  The website made use of AJAX to allow the site to move swiftly without having to reload an entire page every time a link was clicked, which helped reduce server load.

I have experience with HTML, DHTML, JavaScript, PHP, Perl, AJAX, and am in the process of going back to school to get my Bachelors in Information Technology.
